We are now looking for an Information Systems Support Technician to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role

As an Information Systems Support Technician, you will provide technical assistance and maintenance for our IT systems.

Specifically, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of desktop PC hardware and software, providing first-line technical support and troubleshooting system faults.

Beyond this, you will support our GIS functions by managing spatial information, performing data quality checks, and creating maps and reports as required.

Additionally, you will:

- Conduct PAT testing to ensure equipment safety
- Manage stock levels of computer and peripheral consumables
- Deliver basic IT training to staff and members

About You

To be considered as an Information Systems Support Technician, you will need:

- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- A relevant degree or at least two years’ experience in information systems
- Experience with computer hardware, software, and general IT systems
- Experience of GIS and GPS systems
- A full, valid driving licence

The Role

As a Planning Officer, you will undertake a post-grad training programme to develop your skills and expertise in planning and enforcement within the National Park Area.

As part of this four-year contract, you will spend two years completing a Royal Town Planning Institute Master’s degree, with dedicated study time and classroom learning integrated into your daily activities.

Specifically, you will oversee processing planning applications and enforcement cases, conduct site visits, assess proposals against planning policies, and negotiate amendments where required.

Additionally, you will:

- Investigate breaches of planning control and take appropriate action
- Prepare reports and recommendations, including drafting conditions and reasons for refusal
- Assist with registration, validation, and consultation processes for planning applications
- Respond to public enquiries via telephone, email, and in-person meetings

About You

To be considered as a Planning Officer (Graduate Trainee), you will need:

- The ability to communicate fluently in Welsh and English
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- A committed and enthusiastic attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A full, valid driving licence
- A qualification or experience that meets the entry requirements for an RTPI-recognised Master’s course (normally a 2:1 honours degree, though non-standard qualifications and work experience may be considered)

The Role

As a Caretaker, you will keep the Plas Tan y Bwlch House clean, safe, and well-maintained, supporting staff, visitors, and guests to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Specifically, you’ll prepare meeting rooms, conference areas, and accommodation, arranging layouts, keeping equipment inventories up to date, and handling light cleaning tasks.

You’ll also unlock and secure the premises, carry out vital safety checks, and make sure heating, lighting, and plumbing systems are working in good order.

Additionally, you will:

- Maintain the exterior areas, keeping them safe, tidy, and free of debris
- Arrange minor repairs and replace items such as bulbs, batteries, and fuses
- Perform touch-up painting and general decoration work
- Keep drains clear and signage well-maintained

About You

To be considered as a Caretaker, you will need:

- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- Excellent customer service skills

The Role

As Director of Planning & Partnerships, you will be responsible for setting the overall vision, direction and culture of a dynamic Directorate, focusing on the broad range of activity relating to the 2 statutory plans that the Authority produces – Cynllun Eryri (the National Park Management Plan) and the Local Development Plan. You will be responsible for the Authority’s statutory planning function but also ensuring that a wide variety of partners and key stakeholders are fully engaged in helping us deliver on the wide variety of work that the Authority is involved in.

Ensuring plans are implemented in a way that fully contributes to our statutory purposes and socio-economic duty, you will also advocate for the National Park Authority at both a local and national level.

About You

To be considered as the Director of Planning and Partnerships, you will need:

- The ability to communicate fluently in both Welsh and English
- Significant experience in town and country planning
- Extensive leadership and management experience
- A degree-level qualification in a planning-related subject, a certified qualification accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute, or significant directly relevant experience
